There are very few directors today in Hollywood that stand out amongst the others. One of those directors is Edgar Wright. He has shown us in the past few years that he is a very talented filmmaker. Now, he returns with his latest film, Baby Driver. The film stars Ansel Elgort, Lily James, Jamie Fox, Kevin Spacey and Eiza Gonzalez. Is the film any good? Let’s find out.

Baby Driver tells the story of a talented getaway driver named Baby, (Ansel Elgort) who relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. After meeting the woman (Lily James) of his dreams, he sees a chance to ditch his shady lifestyle and make a clean break.

The film, in my opinion, is a near perfect movie. It delivers on everything a film of this genre should deliver and so much more. The action scenes are very fun to watch and give The Fast And The Furious franchise a run for their money. The style of storytelling is different and unique. It blends in an awesome soundtrack to go with the story being told in the film.

The performances in the film are very strong and impressive. Each of the characters felt different in their own special way. Ansel Elgort delivered a great performance as the main lead. His character reminded me a lot of Ferris Bueller in terms of his movements and character in general.

The only negative thing i can say about the film was Lily James’s performance. There were moments in the film where her character doesn’t really react to anything, which is kind of odd and weird.

Other than that, Baby Driver is a fantastic movie. It has great performances, great action scenes and a unique use of storytelling. It goes without saying that i highly recommend watching Baby Driver. If you want to see a fun summer movie this weekend, this is the film for you.

Baby Driver Overall Score: 9.6/10=96%

Reasoning: Stylish, creative and has a great soundtrack
