While Lucasfilm has announced a new director for Han Solo, Universal Pictures has announced today that the official title for the sequel to Jurassic World will be Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. A teaser poster was released, which reveals the film’s title and the phrase: “Life Finds A Way”

Producer and writer Colin Trevorrow, who directed the first Jurassic World and the upcoming Star Wars: Episode 9, made a statement about the film saying the following:

“It’s deeper, move character-based and it definitely leans into suspense, especially in the second half. It does have the big action in the middle. There’s a sequence in the middle that I’ve been watching – I mean, I watch dailies every day – but I’ve started to see stuff come together and it’s just insane. I apologize to those who thought they were never going to need to see another ‘Jurassic World’ movie because I think J. A. Bayona is going to prove them wrong.”

I personally dig the new title. It gives us some insight as to what to expect in the sequel and what the tone might be. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released on June 22nd, 2018 and will mark the return of Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jeff Goldblum.
